Connection Modes-ASCII

Just about every FTP client out there will automatically detect which mode is required and treat your transfers accordingly.

• ASCII:

  (American Standard Code for Information Interchange, a set of 128 symbols that any computer in the world can display.)
  This mode is used for the Transfer of ASCII files only. Sending a binary file in ASCII mode will corrupt the binary file's structure.
